Captain Canada
Origin:
Daniel Eaton is selected by Captain Newfoundland (a.k.a. Captain Atlantis and Samadhi) to become Canada's national superhero, Captain Canada. Eaton is given a powerful costume and is then, through encounters with various superheroes and goddesses, taught about the many levels of consciousness and sources of mental power.

A friend at school managed to pick up--from the school library discard bin for 50 cents--what I believe is Atlantis No.1 (1983) featuring Captain Canada. I never in my life...some scans below.

Atlantis (Captain Canada issue) cover by Boris Vallejo.

Viking warriors versus cosmic warrior! In the name of the Viking Gods, attack!

Newfoundland teenagers. Look! A Viking??!!

In the facemask of Captain Atlantis is the outline of the island of Newfoundland. Greetings Captain Canada!

Once Captain Canada acertains that Kelly is unharmed, he locks the unconcious, would-be kidnappers in the trunk of their car. OK, hop in! I'll drop these low lifes off with the R.C.M.P. and you can make your charges against them.

Stuff about freedom and lasiez-faire capitalism??

Queen Elizabeth!! And Prince Charles of the British Commonwealth...two of the most loved human beings on the face of the earth today[...] The great Wayne Gretzky, on hand for the occasion, steps defiently towards the giant warrior! It is a courageous act, but for once the great Gretzky is outmatched.

I love Gretzky's jumpsuit. For whatever reason it reminds me of the band Devo. Is Prince Charles shoving the queen towards the robot? Did anyone else notice that the robot has a sad face on its chest (use the gun nipples, pointy belly button, and lower . . . )

These so-called higher powers that Captain Canada communicates with are a bunch of fascists! Come the revolution I'm gonna kick Captain Canada's butt. When are we gonna get a decent socialist superhero? Truth, justice and the American way my ass! Bring Back Captain Russia, I say!

Any chance you can put up the rest of the comic?
