i’m sorry, anonymous, but there was actually a lot of skill involved in balancing the layout and sizes. nice design, jeff. my only beef is that the apostrophe in “Women’s” could have been custom drawn to match the curvy font.

Anonymous is right, there isn’t much to this design besides the fancy font. Many others would undoubtedly come up with some fancy dancy logo for the event. But why, why does everything need a logo. What I see here is an intelligent decision to keep things simple. Put some flare into the font, and pick a unique color combination not used all that often. Kudos on knowing when to stop designing, so many others over do it on the simplest of tasks.

Linda: If you’re looking for women to play I can recommend checking out the Victoria Squash Club on Cook Street (at North Park Rd.). That’s who I designed that t-shirt for, and it’s also where I play. Phone 381-9511 and ask for Linda, who is an employee there and “events coordinator / manager” of sorts. Tell her Jeff Werner sent you.

Hey Jeff, you may not have heard that I have left the Victoria Squash Club as an employee…but I have. Still very involved in squash and VSC though. Linda, the other squash enthusiast who has commented, can still call the club and I’m certain the remaining staff will take good care of her. (Check out Club Night on Fridays 7-10pm). Good luck in Vancouver Jeff! I’m sure we’ll be in touch now and then through our squash connections. Thanks to your website I can stay amused at my new government job. Cheers!

Linda, you’re gone? Man, the club is really going to miss out. And you got a new job? No one tells me anything. I’ll congrats you in person if I see you before I go. Otherwise, ya, we’ll stay in touch.
