Baguio Digs

Some pics of the provided digs for the past six weeks of my Philippines Internship, i.e. where I live:
View of a large concrete building
Narda’s main building and factory in La Trinidad, where all the dyeing, weaving and business goes on. Narda’s also rents office spaces on various floors. The guest apartment I live in is on the top right, right next to the tapestry makers workshop.
Sunset
Looking out from the apartment’s front door over the main KM5 drag sunset in La Trinidad. Just make out the Goldilocks below and the Jollibee around the corner.
The kitchen
The kitchen, bathroom by fridge, kitchen table.
Messy livingroom sofas and table
The living area where I basically never hang out except this one time Raneen and I were pumping out sketch models.
A bunkbed and a closet
My bedroom at the back of the apartment. I am a bottom-bunk guy. There is actually a larger, second bedroom that Raneen used and that I never bothered switching to when she left. I like the smallness and the sunrise on my face in the am.
View of nearby buildings and hillside dotted with houses
Looking out my bedroom window.

This really takes me back – I was born in Baguio 45 yrs ago when it was just a small town. I loved everything about living there. I went to school in what used to be Maryknoll convent school. My maternal grandma lived in an apartment building called Laperal right on Session road and my fraternal grandma lived in Bayan Park. Anyway, sorry for carrying on but its just amazing – your work is amazing, I know cause I’m also a web designer but have limited creative bounds working for the government. “Salamat” for sharing your Baguio experiences.
