Hi! In the above picture, I was the breachman of the gun(Bravo Gun). Unfortunately, you can’t see me; I am hiddin by the standing cadet on the right of the gun. My job was to open and close the breach. Doesn’t sound hard? It requires the most concentration. If I screw up, the whole gun crew could be killed. Fortunately, I performed my job properly, and the ceremony went well. If anyone is every in Victoria in the summer, check out this awesome ceremony!

Hey. I was in Ceremony of the Flags too. But I was in the band…the band geek that I am. It was so tiring but one of the best experiences I have ever had at camp. I also encourage everyone in Victoria to watch it during the summer and see all of HMCS Quadra’s cadets’ hard work!

Hello, I am an ex Sea Cadet from the 1985 to 1991. The Ceremony of the Flags was my best memories of Cadets. I was on the tow robes in 87 and on the gun crew in 86 in HMCS Quadra. Then In 1990, I was in the Colour Party in Ottawa for the 60th Anniversary of the Battle Of The Atlantic.

Just watched my first Ceremony of the Flags this week at HMCS Quadra. Very impressive and I will surely recommend anyone to try and see it first hand.
