Hands back on the bars

Two weeks since bike crash. I’m commuting on the Gardin again, which needs a little derailleur and/or derailleur hanger re-alignment, some new bar tape, and maybe a new saddle, but is otherwise OK. The right knee is also OK until I try and swing it out to the side while adjusting my bits and pieces on the saddle. I’ll have to keep my legs together and live with a little pinching for a while. Tried it out (the knee) alone on court today, too. Seems I’ve already programmed myself not to do certain moves on it, such as crouching, side lunging, kneeling. One of them Velcro-on knee supports should help. To my regular opponents: I shall make of myself a sacrificial offering in the coming weeks. Be gentle with me.
The knee and palm are now stomachable: scab-free, pink with sensitive new-born epidermi. The little trench on the right elbow has almost filled itself in.
