If rain can be defined in simple terms as drops of water falling from clouds, then despite the fact that it’s soaking wet outside, it isn’t raining.
On the odd winter morning when fog snuggles into Victoria you can generally rest assured it’ll blow and/or burn away by mid-day. Today’s incredible fog is an exception.
For the past 16 hours I haven’t seen further than a block or two down any street in town. I’ve seen this before on the odd winter night, but never for an entire day, so thick and so damp. The roads are slick and my feet got wet riding downtown this evening. The humidity is 100 per cent (confirmed by the forecast) and it’s not raining; the headlights of oncoming cars are like a hundred Batman beacons revealing a dense swirling mist thicker than a humidifier.

It’s raining like crazy here in Florence too. I got rained on, walking around like a rat.
As for peanut butter, I have NO idea why it’s not a European thing, but it’s about time it is because I’m dying of peanut-butter-lust.
Ciao bella. -
FYI, why Nikki above is talking about p-butter:

Jeff, what a wonderful image you captured. I found it while looking for compositional ideas to illustrate a quotation from Kahlil Gibran,
‘If you reveal your secrets to the wind,
You should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees.’
What also made me stop and look again was the title of the photograph….I’m an artist/curator in Doncaster, England. -
it’s very beautiful… i’m just a highschool student in los angeles california, but i’m trying to pursue a career in art… not that i’m very good…. but it’s about the only thing i feel i’m somewhat good… and you can’t see these kind of scenes here… it’s just too sunny and clear and almost no rain… i like rain. and snow. i wish i could live in a place with these kind of scenes… it’s beautiful.
