You remove the cap from the end of the pen and insert it into the circular key entry in the lock, wiggle it a bunch and it opens. Well, so these videos <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bikeforums.net\/\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/entry\/7796925370303347\/\">here<\/a>, articles <a href=\"http:\/\/vancouver.cbc.ca\/regional\/servlet\/View?filename=bc_locks20040921\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/slashdot.org\/article.pl?sid=04\/09\/19\/0120225&#038;tid=172&#038;tid=1\">here<\/a>, would say, because I&#8217;m having trouble getting the end off my Bic just now&#8230;<br \/>\nAnyways, man, these were considered the standard in bicycle anti-theft. I sold them for years and I&#8217;ve used one for years. I use it almost everyday. Time for a new lock.<br \/>\nUpdate Sept. 22: Good <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/news\/culture\/0,1284,64987,00.html?tw=wn_7culthead\">article <\/a>at Wired about this. And I tried with a couple different Bics on my own lock, couldn&#8217;t get it to work.<br \/>\nUpdate Sept. 22: Kryptonite will <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kryptonitelock.com\/inetisscripts\/abtinetis.exe\/templateform@public?tn=urgent_update\">replace your lock<\/a> for free. I&#8217;ve sent my email off, and am supposed to send my lock now, too, but won&#8217;t get a replacement until October.
