\nIf rain can be defined in simple terms as drops of water falling from clouds, then despite the fact that it’s soaking wet outside, it isn’t raining.
\nOn the odd winter morning when fog snuggles into Victoria you can generally rest assured it’ll blow and\/or burn away by mid-day. Today’s incredible fog is an exception.
\nFor the past 16 hours I haven’t seen further than a block or two down any street in town. I’ve seen this before on the odd winter night, but never for an entire day, so thick and so damp. The roads are slick and my feet got wet riding downtown this evening. The humidity is 100 per cent (confirmed by the forecast<\/a>) and it’s not raining; the headlights of oncoming cars are like a hundred Batman beacons revealing a dense swirling mist thicker than a humidifier.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
