This week saw the launch of v2.2 of the website. Major changes include incorporating Moveable Type as a weblog base and designing a slicker GUI with a vertically-expanding design, which will ease content arrangement as oppossed to v1 and 2.0’s faux-flash, fixed width/height arrangement. I’ve tried to balance the emphasis between design and content, yet with more room for the larger content requirements I expect in the future (weblog, photos, etc.). The flexible, block-unit configuration eases large content input and usability by maintaining a coherent layout throughout all current and future sections of the site.
To put that another way:
I found I really don’t mind sites that require vertical scrolling: mouse wheels (on PC, anyways) make scrolling nearly subconcious, and verticality seems to emphasize substance over style, like a news or large database website. The new design makes it way easier for me to update and add stuff until I set up a database. And I’m hoping jeffwerner.ca can be a one-stop, Jeff-Werner-related shop for employers, family and friends.

I found you at #21 today, however, I must say you are much better looking than the guy who came up #1.
